Privacy Policy
LingoShot respects your privacy. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and how you can control it.
Data We Collect
- Account name: if you sign in with Google or Telegram, we use the display name they provide to identify your account and sync your progress across devices. If you play as a guest, no account information is collected.
- Email: we do not collect or store your email address. Google Sign-In may ask for an email as part of the login process, but it is used only by your device to complete sign-in and is never sent to or stored on our servers.
- Game statistics: points, streaks, learned words and leaderboard rank are saved to our secure database (Firebase) so your progress isn't lost.
- Usage analytics: we use PostHog to collect anonymous, aggregated analytics (such as which game modes are played and app opens) to understand how the app is used and to improve it. This data is not linked to your name unless you are signed in.
How We Use Your Data
Data is used solely to run and improve LingoShot: saving your learning progress, powering the leaderboard, and understanding which features are useful. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Data Sharing
Your account name and game statistics are stored with Google Firebase. We do not share your data with advertisers.
Data Deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time through the "Delete Account" button in your profile settings. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.
Children's Privacy
LingoShot is designed to be usable by learners of all ages, including children, under a parent's or guardian's guidance. The app does not knowingly collect more information from children than described above. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information beyond what's needed for basic gameplay, please contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
